Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Logistics Engineer who will report to the Systems Engineering Manager for the Automatic Test Systems business. The Senior Logistics Engineer serves as the vital operational and technical bridge between the F-16 Avionics Intermediate Shop (AIS) Program Office, the Technical Coordination Group (TCG), and BAE Systems as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the F-16 AIS family of test systems. Operating on-site at Hill AFB, UT, the selected individual will execute joint tasking from the 416 SCMS/GUMAA and AFLCMC/ROA (Warner Robins). The primary objective of this role is to ensure continuous, high-level operational capability for AIS stations deployed across eight USAF Major Commands (MAJCOMs) and 24 European Participating Air Forces (EPAF) / Foreign Military Sales (FMS) partner nations.
This position collaborates closely with 416 SCMS/GUMAA and AFLCMC/ROA personnel to deliver robust technical support, resolving complex engineering and supportability deficiencies reported directly from active operational user sites. Key responsibilities include assessing reported system failures, assisting in root-cause definition, determining systemic impacts to ATS equipment, and executing long-term sustainment resolutions. The individual actively supports the annual Control and Support software development cycle, participating directly in local and international EPAF/FMS in-country testing, hardware integration, suitability evaluations, and formal software releases. Additionally, the role involves drafting, submitting, and reviewing Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), authoring Technical Order changes, tracking Consolidated Sustainment Activity Group (CSAG) projects, and preparing executive-level technical briefings for use in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and Program Management Reviews (PMRs). Finally, the selected individual coordinates closely with Air Force Equipment Specialists and Material Managers to guarantee accurate Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability (SMR) coding is applied to test station assets, while assisting with critical resource allocation assessments.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in military logistics engineering, systems sustainment, or automatic test systems, with a preferred technical focus on F-16 avionics platforms. This position demands a highly collaborative professional capable of navigating multi-agency environments and seamlessly managing interfaces between DoD logistics centers, active-duty military personnel, international partners, and OEM engineering groups.
This position requires availability to travel both CONUS and OCONUS to support in-country software and hardware integration events across the FMS and EPAF footprint. Due to the nature of the systems and agencies supported, the selected candidate must possess or be able to rapidly obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and perform duties on-site at Hill AFB, UT.
