The role offers the opportunity to contribute to an organization focused on equitable access to behavioral health services while helping maintain strong financial stewardship across public and reimbursable funding sources.

  • Develop financial projections for grant-funded programs and track spending patterns across reimbursable agreements.

  • Support the creation and oversight of grant budgets, program financial reporting, and ongoing budget-to-actual reviews.

  • Analyze grant-related financial data, reconcile general ledger accounts, and identify discrepancies requiring follow-up.

  • Complete grant closeout activities and prepare documentation needed to satisfy sponsor and contract requirements.

  • Partner with internal teams on pre-award and post-award grant administration to help ensure timely and accurate financial support.

  • Review accounting transactions for alignment with funding terms, internal controls, and applicable contract conditions.

  • Work with department leaders to explain budget variances, provide financial guidance, and improve understanding of program performance.

  • Maintain current knowledge of government and other funding sources, including reporting expectations and compliance standards.

  • Contribute technical and analytical support during annual budget preparation and assist program staff with financial processes as needed.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

  • At least 3 years of accounting experience, with preference for work in nonprofit organizations, healthcare settings, or community-based services.

  • Hands-on experience with grant accounting, fund administration, and government-funded programs.

  • Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle, including general ledger activity, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll processes.

  • Strong analytical ability with experience performing reconciliations, financial review, and variance analysis.

  • Proficiency with computerized accounting platforms, preferably Abila MIP, along with strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately in a deadline-driven environment.
