KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, SALT Income Franchise - Consulting to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. Responsibilities Work as part of a national multi-disciplinary state income tax consulting team helping clients with their most complex state tax issues, including organizational structure optimization, identifying refund opportunities, developing and delivering technology solutions, and general consulting matters Lead state tax return review engagements focused on identifying and securing state income tax refunds Assist multi-national companies with state and local tax controversies which includes preparing clients for discussions with auditors, representing the client at hearings and appeal meetings, and preparing protests Review technical memoranda or slide decks regarding income, franchise, and other state and local tax questions Build and manage client relationships and supervise, mentor, and develop associates Qualifications Minimum five years of recent experience performing tax research, assisting with state income tax return review projects, managing restructuring engagements and providing technical advice on multi-state income tax issues Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA, EA or JD/LLM in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one...
