Full job description

The Field Manager owns daily field execution across Commercial, Residential, and Service — making sure every crew is prepped, safe, productive, doing quality work, and held accountable. Prioritizes on-site supervision on larger projects and is the link between Project Management and the technicians in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety first: jobsite walkthroughs, OSHA compliance, unsafe conditions corrected on the spot

  • Crew readiness: confirm correct material, tools, and plan sets staged before day of job, and before crews leave the yard

  • Quality: verify scope complete and quality workmanship before crews leave jobs; drive down rerolls

  • Daily logs and job documentation across all three verticals; on-site supervision on larger commercial projects

  • Budget control: supervise man-hours and material against job budgets and eliminate admin time

  • Accountability: coach and hold technicians to SA standards; own time tracking and clock-in/out compliance

  • Scheduling oversight with PM and dispatch; rebalance crews in real time for skills, weather, callins, inspections, and change orders

  • Coordinate GCs, subcontractors, owner reps, and inspectors; hold sub work to SA standards

  • Documentation: photos, marketing, reports and QC records current on all active jobs; vehicle and trailer inspections

  • Communicate delays and risks to PM, support weekly safety meetings, and uphold SA's culture of safety and humility

Requirements

  • 5+ years solar, electrical, or construction field experience, including 2+ years leading crews

  • Working knowledge of PV, storage, and NEC as applied to solar and battery systems; able to work from plan sets and one-lines

  • OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred); Journeyman/Master Electrician or NABCEP a plus

  • Valid driver's license, clean record; able to lift 50+ lbs and work on rooftops and ladders

  • Familiarity with FieldPulse or Buildertrend; bilingual English/Spanish a plus

  • Daily travel to job sites (occasional overnight); office, warehouse, rooftop, and active construction environments

Benefits

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)

  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)

  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)

  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)

  • Short Term & Long Term Disability

  • Training & Development

  • Wellness Resources
