Full job description

Pay: $26.00–$32.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-time and part-time opportunities available

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide one-on-one nursing care for a patient in the Katy area.

This is a great opportunity for an LVN who enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and families while providing personalized care in a home setting.

Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is not required. Training will be provided to qualified nurses.

Patient Care Skills

  • Feeding tube care

  • Tracheostomy care

  • Ventilator management

  • Ongoing assessment and monitoring

  • Medication administration and skilled nursing care

Trach and ventilator training provided.

What You’ll Do

  • As an LVN with Maxim Healthcare, you will:

  • Provide individualized nursing care based on the patient’s plan of care

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

  • Perform focused assessments to identify patient needs

  • Monitor for changes in the patient’s physical and psychosocial condition

  • Collect, analyze, and document relevant patient information

  • Communicate changes in condition to the appropriate members of the healthcare team

  • Accurately document nursing care provided

  • Assist with feeding tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator-related care

  • Perform other LVN duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas

  • Current BLS certification

  • Current PPD or chest X-ray

  • Current health certificate, as required

  • One year of LVN experience required
