Data Center Cable Technician

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Cable Specialist to join one of our large utility, engineering, and AEC clients. This individual will support data center infrastructure projects by assisting with cable organization, equipment setup, and connectivity initiatives within a technology-focused environment. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in data centers, network infrastructure, and technology operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Support data center projects across various facilities and locations.
• Assist with cable routing, organization, and identification activities.
• Label and document cabling to maintain accurate infrastructure records.
• Utilize cable maps, layouts, and project documentation to support connectivity projects.
• Support the setup and organization of equipment within rack and cabinet systems.
• Assist with equipment placement and infrastructure deployment efforts.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project milestones are met.
• Learn industry best practices related to data center environments and network infrastructure.
• Support a variety of projects and responsibilities, providing exposure to different technologies and systems.
• Maintain organized work areas and follow established operating procedures.

Pay Rate: $24-$26/hr.

Skills and Requirements

• Min 2 years of pulling, routing, and labeling cables
• Min 2 years of experience within a data center environment
