Buyer

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Buyer to support purchasing operations for an organization in Racine, Wisconsin. This role focuses on securing materials and services efficiently while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery expectations. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to keep procurement activities organized, timely, and aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities to ensure materials and supplies are ordered accurately and on schedule.

• Source products and services from vendors with relevant experience while balancing cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

• Review purchase needs with internal stakeholders and translate business demands into effective procurement actions.

• Prepare, issue, and monitor purchase orders to maintain continuity of supply and support operational goals.

• Build and maintain productive supplier relationships to improve responsiveness and purchasing outcomes.

• Track order status, resolve delivery or supply issues, and communicate updates to relevant teams.

• Evaluate pricing and purchasing options to identify opportunities for savings and process improvement. Requirements • Experience working in a Buyer or purchasing-focused role.

• Working knowledge of purchasing functions, procurement processes, and material planning.

• Ability to manage multiple purchasing priorities with strong organization and attention to detail.

• Experience coordinating with suppliers and internal departments in a business setting that requires attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills for handling vendor interactions and cross-functional collaboration.

• Proficiency in reviewing orders, tracking purchasing activity, and maintaining accurate records.
