Full job description

Disney Experiences Technology (DXT) creates world-class immersive digital experiences for Guests and Cast members across premier vacation brands including Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, Shanghai Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani. With offices in Anaheim, Glendale, Hong Kong, Orlando, Paris, Seattle, and Shanghai, DXT develops innovative technical solutions for a global audience.

Emerging Technology (ET) identifies where new technology meets a genuine Disney Experiences opportunity, then tests and scales what works. The team delivers strategic guidance, rapid experimentation through POCs and prototypes, and 0-1 development.

The Manager, Product Management – Emerging Technology leads a team of Product Managers focused on delivering commercial and operational intelligence efforts centered on process optimization and operational efficiencies as well as new Guest facing experiences. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Product Management, this role pairs direct people leadership with hands-on ownership of roadmap, business case, and executive narrative for their Technology portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a team of individual contributors, while also driving alignment and delivery through cross-functional partners across the broader matrixed organization. Set individual goals, review performance, and build product management craft (ideation-POC-production discipline, stakeholder communication) across the team.

  • Business Case Development and Technology Strategy: Own the roadmap for Emerging Technology’s Commercial Intelligence efforts — spanning AI-driven Ecommerce and commercial optimization. Track trends (AI, ML, CV, automation, and related fields) to identify growth opportunities and validate technology fit.

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee iterative product development for Emerging Technology— from ideation and rapid experimentation through initial launch and handoff. Ensure epics, user stories, requirements, and success criteria meet a consistent bar.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent initiatives in cross-functional and leadership forums. Build and maintain relationships with engineering, design, delivery, and business partners.

  • Metrics & Measurement: Establish KPIs and Success criteria; use data to inform prioritization and to report outcomes to leadership.

  • Executive Communication: Prepare and deliver executive summaries, reviews, and risk/status updates, translating team-level detail into decision-ready narratives for leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience delivering customer-facing and employee-facing products, digital only and hybrid experiences, hardware and/or software delivery.

  • Direct experience leading and developing teams or equivalent experience leading cross-functional product initiatives within a matrixed organization.

  • Experience with iterative test-and-learn processes, POC development, and production-level delivery; familiarity with an R&D environment

  • Proven ability to use data and metrics to back business cases and influence prioritization decisions

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present at an executive level

  • Experience working in highly collaborative, cross-functional, agile teams

  • Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with strong personal initiative

  • Ability to work with bi-coastal and/or international teams across multiple time zones

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly, and manage multiple concurrent priorities across Commercial Intelligence initiatives

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with AI and data-driven approaches within the Ecommerce space or operational efficiency— e.g., process automation, personalization

  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical, senior stakeholders

  • Experience with agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, Airtable, Cursor, Claude Cowork/Code)

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
