APP Specialty Director Lead Advanced Practice Provider Teams Across Western Region

0.5 FTE Clinical + 0.5 FTE Administrative

Seeking a visionary leaderto drive clinical excellence and operational strategy across Banner's Western Region Specialty clinics. This role combines strategic oversight of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with direct patient care across Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, Nebraska and Arizona.

As APP Specialty Director, you willshape the futureof APP practice across the region, directing clinical operations, developing talent, and establishing standards that ensure quality, cost-effective patient care across multiple locations.

Position Highlights:

  • Dynamic Leadership Role:0.5 FTE Administrative Specialty Directorship combined with 0.5 FTE clinical duties

  • Competitive Compensation: Blended rate based on administrative and clinical duties

  • Incentive Eligible: MIP + performance incentives

  • Broad Impact:Work with the entire Western Region Specialty team across locations including rural clinic settings

Responsibilities:

  • Direct clinical practice and coordinate patient service delivery across Western Region locations, managing workforce resources to ensure optimal staffing and performance standards

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Advanced Practice Provider staff through coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives

  • Implement compensation changes, policies/procedures, and provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action as needed

  • Conduct clinical case reviews, utilization and quality assessments, and make strategic recommendations for enhanced patient care delivery

  • Serve as liaison between APP teams, physicians, and leadership to align practices with Banner Medical Group's vision of patient-centered, cost-effective care

  • Cover supervisor/manager responsibilities for departments/services as needed and participate in practice provider meetings

Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted APP license (NP or PA) with national certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)

  • Current DEA

  • Minimum 5+ years of specialty care APP experience; at least one year with Banner required

  • Skilled communicator with proven ability to guide teams, drive process improvement, and inspire excellence in patient care

  • Must reside in Northern Colorado (NOCO); occasional travel to Western Region locations required including rural clinic locations
