Full job description

Employment Type: Part timeShift: Day Shift Description: This position is responsible for outpatient registration, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, incoming and outgoing referrals as well as provider relations. The incumbent performs office clerical functions, communicates with other member of the wound care team and coordinates care for patients.Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Some college is preferred.

  2. Two (2) years of related office experience managing referrals and insurance authorizations in a medical office is required. Strong knowledge of government payers and commercial insurance plans is preferred.

  3. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.

  4. Effective problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills are required.

  5. Demonstrated ability to show initiative and decision-making skills is required.

  6. Ability to follow and interpret oral and written instructions, institutional documents and policies is required.

  7. Ability to operate office equipment, organize and manage workload with strong typing skills is re quired.

  8. Ability to handle matters with strict confidentiality is required.

  9. Ability to demonstrate outstanding performance in at team environment while providing a strong customer service focus is a must.

  10. Multilingual is preferred.

Pay Range: $24.06 - $32.49
