Full job description
As a Protector, you work with a team at job sites. No experience or degree is needed. Safety comes first-always. We train you. We support you. We help you build a career. Your daily work includes: 1. Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down 2. Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, watching traffic and job site activity 3. Following all safety rules taught in training 4. Communicating with your crew and supervisor 5. Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe 6. Working outside all year, in all weather 7. Shifts may change based on job needs: Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required 8. You may stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift 9. We give you a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear: you bring your own steel toe safety boots that go above the ankle. Qualifications 1. Valid driver's license 2. Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods 3. Able to lift 40-50 pounds 4. Willing to work in traffic and changing weather 5. Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift 6. Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (this is a safety sensitive job) 7. Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules all the time 8. Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect
