Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $17.50 - $17.50 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Hurricane Cleanup Worker:
-
Assist with cleanup and recovery efforts following hurricanes and severe storms
-
Remove and collect storm debris, including branches, leaves, damaged materials, and other waste
-
Load and unload debris, supplies, and cleanup materials
-
Clear walkways, parking lots, and outdoor areas of storm-related debris
-
Assist with moving and organizing materials and equipment
-
Use basic hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and brooms
-
Follow all safety procedures and instructions from supervisors
-
Maintain clean and organized work areas
-
Perform other related duties as assigned

Job requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

Previous general labor, landscaping, construction, or cleanup experience preferred but not required

Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift materials throughout the shift
-
Ability to lift and carry debris and cleanup materials as required
-
Ability to follow instructions and work safely as part of a team
-
Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as needed
-
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
