Full job description

Position: Director of Growth Reports to: VP of Growth Location: Los Angeles, CA / Hybrid Compensation: $200,000–$220,000 base + benefits

About Pique Pique is a category-defining wellness company that operates at the leading edge of performance branding. Our products are grounded in science and nature, our brand is driven by mission and emotion, and our culture is shaped by high performance and individual agency.

Position Overview We are hiring a hands-on Director of Growth to own paid acquisition end to end — Meta, Google, TikTok and every platform we add next — and the conversion funnel behind it: the ads, the landing pages, the media buying and the account structure. You will be measured by profitable new-customer growth against plan.

You own daily pacing, the cross-channel budget and the call on where the next dollar goes. You set the testing agenda, direct media buyers and guide creative and eCommerce teams so the whole funnel converts.

You will work directly with our Founder and CEO, VP of Growth, Director of Analytics and other members of senior leadership as one close-knit team: short decision loops, big impact and real ownership. Open the account, diagnose the problem, get the fix live. You have been an integral part of a team that scaled a brand — not a spectator to it. If you depend on an agency or a dashboard to interpret performance, this is not the role.

Responsibilities Own Paid Acquisition Across Platforms

  • Own strategy, structure, budgets and bidding across Meta, Google and TikTok; test emerging platforms.
  • Own daily pacing: monitor spend and efficiency every day and shift budget within and across channels to deliver plan.
  • Go deep in the weeds of each platform and make the adjustments yourself or direct them precisely.
  • Direct in-house media buyers and agency partners; hold them to outcomes, test plans and deadlines, not activity reports.

Own the Conversion Funnel

  • Own the path from ad to landing page to checkout; align message, offer and page so every click converts.
  • Run landing page and offer tests; read ad and page results together.
  • Bring a sense of creative: turn performance data and customer insight into sharp briefs, and know a winning hook when you see one.
  • Partner with creative strategy on testing velocity and fatigue; scale creator content via whitelisting and Spark Ads.

Drive Decisions With Measurement & Attribution

  • Partner with analytics to decide where money goes using incrementality and holdout tests, media mix modeling, post-purchase surveys and blended results.
  • Spot tracking and data issues early — pixel, Conversions API, server-side events, GA4 — and drive the fix with analytics.
  • Define hypotheses, success criteria and stopping rules before tests; reallocate investment to what proves incremental.

Own the Plan & Unit Economics

  • Forecast spend, new-customer volume and efficiency by channel; report plan versus actual weekly, monthly and quarterly.
  • Manage to new-customer CAC, payback and lifetime value, including subscription economics — not platform ROAS alone.
  • Align assumptions with finance; flag gaps early with a diagnosis, fix and revised outlook, and give leadership clear recommendations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in performance or growth marketing at a direct-to-consumer or consumer brand, with direct accountability for acquisition results.
  • An integral role on a team that scaled a brand: you personally scaled spend profitably across platforms, not just inherited an account or managed an agency.
  • Current, hands-on fluency in Meta, Google and TikTok: structure, bidding, testing and diagnostics; strong Sheets skills to investigate results yourself.
  • Measurement depth across incrementality, media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution and post-purchase surveys — and judgment on where each misleads.
  • Enough command of tracking — pixel, Conversions API, GA4 — to spot when the data is wrong.
  • Fluency in DTC unit economics — CAC, payback, lifetime value, subscription and repeat-purchase behavior — and accountability for forecasts versus actual.
  • A sense of creative and conversion: you brief, critique and pick winning ads and landing pages, not just read their numbers.
  • Experience leading media buyers, agencies and cross-functional partners.
  • High ownership, sound prioritization, fast execution and genuine interest in wellness, nutrition, beauty or longevity.
  • Ability to receive and deliver radical candor — non-negotiable.
  • Enthusiasm for shaping a motivated, talented, and truth-seeking team culture, with a commitment to personal growth and organizational excellence.
