Full job description

Our client, [Industry Descriptor] is seeking a Application Programmer III to join their team. As a Application Programmer III, you will be part of the [Department Name] supporting [Team Name(s)]. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and a drive to improve data quality which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Application Programmer III

Location: Newark, DE

Pay Range: $60-$65/hr

What's the Job?

  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support analytic data requirements for department data warehousing needs.

  • Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL and ETL solutions, ensuring reliable data movement between upstream SOR systems and downstream data models.

  • Work with large datasets independently to identify patterns, validate findings, and present clear results to stakeholders.

  • Improve and streamline data flow processes to enhance data accuracy, viability, and value while challenging data and information integrity.

  • Enhance existing processes and define new ones in an agile, fast-paced, accelerated development environment.

What's Needed?

  • 10+ years of experience creating Oracle PL/SQL and ETL work, including strong PL/SQL development skills.

  • Experience designing data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) for analytics and data warehousing.

  • Strong database fine-tuning experience to improve performance and reliability.

  • Knowledge of ETL tools such as DataStage, Informatica, or Alteryx.

  • Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau or MicroStrategy, plus strong Excel skills.
