Full job description

Description

Amazon Global Media and Entertainment (GME) Content Security is seeking a Content Security Specialist based in Culver City, CA. This broad role protects content, IP, and brand, working closely with internal business teams and external content creators. Primary responsibilities include security policies, standard operating procedures, security awareness training, screening events, leak and incident response, and security across the content production lifecycle. The role requires subject matter expertise in the content creation process and content-specific security frameworks, so the person can balance security outcomes with business enablement. The role also supports program management for the team, including tracking initiatives and milestones, coordinating across stakeholders, and reporting progress, and contributes to program-level strategy that incorporates emerging threats and industry trends. The role helps raise the bar for content security standards within Amazon and across the Media and Entertainment industry.

A day in the life

The work follows the content slate, not a fixed schedule. We support many titles at once, each at a different stage. One day can include facilitating training for film crews, assessing a facility, auditing a vendor, and preparing screenings and embargo readiness for a title near release. Another day, you step back, look across requests for common themes, and build the standard operating procedures and mechanisms that scale the program. You also help run the program itself: tracking initiatives and milestones across titles, coordinating with Studios, Marketing, and production partners, and preparing status updates for leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience handling confidential information, or experience working as a story analyst, story editor, or in film development

  • Experience in audits related to business processes, risk mitigation, program compliance, or internal audits

  • Experience with episodic and film workflows

  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges

  • Experience in securing pre-release screenings involving DCPs, KDMs, and non-DCI complaint devices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands on operational experience in film development, production, and post-production (e.g., writers room, DI, editing, visual/audio effects, encoding, dubbing)
