Summary

About the Position: This position is located at NAS Jacksonville at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, in the Directorate of Healthcare Business. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service

Duties

  • Directs business plan performance through statistical analysis of workload, population demand, and clinical operations, and develops solutions to optimize health care delivery.
  • Required to balance full spectrum of resource, clinical, contract management and administrative functions to achieve the best possible patient care.
  • Represents NMCSD and provides executive-level leadership at MTF, Pacific Rim Network (DHN-2) and Defense Health Agency (DHA) level meetings.
  • Leverages systems (EHR, FMIS, M2, DEERS, HDI, CarePoint, TOC, MHS Genesis) to gather data and provide leadership with fact-based decision options.
  • Gathers and reports monthly and annual data for fiscal, statistical, and planning purposes.
  • Oversees development and implementation of revenue enhancement strategies for existing practice(s).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience such as 1) coordinating with department supervisors on administrative matters; 2) identifying discrepancies/concerns within healthcare system processes 3) recommending solutions to discrepancies; and 4) developing healthcare data reports using various healthcare software programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
