City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Norfolk General 5K Medical Surgical Specialties Unit is hiring for a Travel Registered Nurse!

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Specialties Sentara Norfolk General Hospital - Norfolk, VA

  • $75.00/hr pay rate

  • Temporary Full Time

  • 14-week assignment

  • Day Shift

  • No benefits

Department/Unit Overview: This 42-bed unit specializes in the care of Adult Surgical Patients. Registered Nurses are assigned to PODs to assist patients recovering from surgeries: Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, GYN Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Trauma Overflow. While working in this unit you will care for patients that have renal disease, diabetes, COPD, and heart failure for a well-rounded nursing experience. This is a telemetry-monitored unit. The average patient stay is 3-4 days. This unit also has 6 beds that are for Epilepsy monitoring and is the Living Kidney Donor Transplant Unit. Join our amazing team! Education

  • Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required

Certification/Licensure

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • NIH Stroke Scale

Experience

  • Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
