Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support an electrical construction project in Jacksonville. This role is designed to develop into a Project Manager position and will provide hands-on exposure to project coordination, documentation, field communication, and our clients project-management processes.

Project Scope

• Supports one project at a time

• Project may be an Amazon warehouse, hospital, or data center

• Works from the jobsite five days per week rather than reporting to an office

• Projects are currently primarily within the planning cycle

• Supports project documentation, coordination, communication, and software-related responsibilities

• Does not initially own budgeting or forecasting

• Will be trained to progress into a Project Manager position Additional Compensation

• Weekly vehicle allowance

• Gas card

• Toll card/coverage

Skills and Requirements

• Preferred four-year degree in construction management or a related field
• Four or more years of electrical experience preferred
• Open to a combination of relevant education and real-world electrical construction experience
• Strong software and technology skills
• Proficiency with:
• Microsoft Excel
• Bluebeam
• Microsoft tools/platform
• Ability to learn new systems and processes
• Interest in developing into a Project Manager
• Must pass required background screening
