Job Summary Summary<br>Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the maintenance, distribution, and operation of equipment services. Ensures equipment is in optimal working condition, properly allocated, and readily available to support patient care and operational needs. Provides technical guidance and leadership to the equipment services team.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>No<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Monitors the maintenance, repair, and calibration of hospital equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety. <br> -Oversees the distribution and tracking of equipment across departments to meet operational demands. <br> -Conducts regular inspections and quality assurance checks on medical and non-medical equipment. <br> -Trains and supports staff on proper equipment use, maintenance, and handling procedures. <br> -Coordinates with vendors and service providers for repairs, parts replacement, and preventative maintenance schedules. <br> -Maintains accurate records of equipment inventory, service logs, and maintenance schedules. <br> -Responds promptly to urgent equipment requests and resolves operational issues efficiently. <br> -Assists in developing and implementing procedures to improve equipment management processes. <br> -Provides technical expertise and guidance to team members, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards. <br>
Qualifications
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes
Licenses and Credentials
Experience Experience in equipment maintenance and repair 2-3 years required and Experience in a supervisory or lead role 1-2 years preferred and Experience within a healthcare setting 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong technical expertise in the maintenance and repair of medical and non-medical equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving equipment issues.
- Strong organizational skills to manage maintenance schedules and documentation.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with various departments.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety protocols in healthcare.
