Full job description
Description We are looking for a bilingual Legal Assistant to join a respected international law firm in Costa Mesa, California on a contract basis with the potential for a long-term opportunity. This role is well suited for a detail-focused individual who can provide dependable support to attorneys while delivering excellent service to clients and business partners in both Korean and English. The position offers a hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day remote, and it requires someone who can stay organized, manage competing priorities, and contribute to efficient daily operations.
Responsibilities:

Support attorneys with a blend of legal and administrative tasks to keep matters progressing efficiently.

Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, track important dates, and help ensure deadlines are met.

Draft, revise, proofread, and organize legal correspondence, filings, and other case-related documents.

Serve as a reliable point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams in both Korean and English.

Maintain electronic and physical files, monitor document flow, and assist with record organization and matter tracking.

Review incoming mail and communications, direct materials to the appropriate recipients, and follow up when needed.

Prepare reports, presentation materials, and other deliverables for attorney and practice group needs.

Assist with billing support, time entry, and general office coordination as part of daily administrative operations. Requirements • Fluency in Korean and English, including strong speaking, reading, and writing abilities.

At least 2 years of experience in a legal assistant, administrative support, executive assistant, or similar role.

Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Demonstrated ability to organize multiple assignments, manage time effectively, and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while handling shifting priorities.

High level of attention to detail and comfort supporting document management, calendar coordination, and filing processes.

Experience with court filings, e-filing, civil litigation support, or legal document systems is a plus.
