Database Engineering - Advisor I

About your role:

As a Database Engineering - Advisor I, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing database systems that are essential for Fiserv's operations and growth. You will work closely with a dedicated team to handle complex database challenges and ensure seamless data integration and access for various applications. Your contributions will be vital in driving innovative solutions and supporting our clients' needs, ultimately contributing to the success of our business.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust database solutions to meet organizational needs.

• Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and data integrity

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database architecture with enterprise goals.

• Conduct regular system audits and provide recommendations for upgrades and improvements.

• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement.

Experience you’ll need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in database design and management

• 3+ years of experience with SQL Server

• 3+ years of experience with Oracle Database

• 3+ years of experience in performance tuning and optimization

• 3+ years of experience in database security

• 3+ years of experience in data integration and ETL processes

• 1 year of Fiserv systems experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).

Experience that would be great to have:

• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Important information about this role:

• This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

• This is a full-time, direct-hire position, and no contract options for unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.
