Job Description

Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a LOTO/Energy Coordinator for a top electrical construction and commissioning client. This individual will oversee field electrical crews while ensuring lockout/tagout procedures are executed safely and accurately across complex projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong electrical background, leadership experience, and expertise in energy isolation processes. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale projects, mentor field personnel, drive safety excellence, and serve as a critical leader in coordinating energization and commissioning activities across multiple job sites.

Day-to-Day:

  • Supervise daily activities of electrical field crews
  • Ensure adherence to company LOTO policies and procedures
  • Conduct LOTO audits and maintain compliance programs
  • Coordinate lockouts, lockout releases, energizations, and re-energizations
  • Manage project resources including labor, tools, equipment, and materials
  • Train and mentor employees and trade partners on LOTO procedures
  • Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and performance evaluations
  • Create daily and weekly work plans and deployment strategies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for electrical coordination activities on-site
  • Complete advanced documentation related to LOTO implementation and release activities

Skills and Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Electrical apprenticeship completion or equivalent experience (8,000+ hours)

  • Strong Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience and knowledge

  • Experience supervising field crews and electrical projects

  • Ability to lead small teams of 2-5 electricians effectively

  • Knowledge of building electrical power systems

  • Experience performing LOTO audits and managing energization/de-energization activities

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and identify system redundancies

  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to workplace safety procedures

  • Ability to travel 60-75% Plusses:

  • Experience with complex or highly technical electrical installations

  • Experience mentoring electricians and other trades

  • Strong customer-facing communication skills

  • Experience managing project documentation, evaluations, and resource planning Previous leadership experience on large construction or commissioning projects
