Job Description

The Full Stack Web Developer supports, maintains, and enhances the College's web applications. This role is responsible for troubleshooting issues, building new features, developing software solutions, improving business processes, and ensuring software quality. Responsibilities include coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and managing web-related work orders in a diverse and collaborative environment. The position also supports reporting and analytics initiatives, including developing and maintaining reports, working with data across various reporting platforms, and leveraging Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases for application development, reporting, data integration, and business intelligence needs.

Compensation: $28/hr to $32/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field. 3+ years of web application development experience. Strong experience with Microsoft .NET technologies (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET). Proficiency with Visual Studio. Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and XML. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server development and data migration to PostgreSQL. Experience developing and integrating REST APIs. Knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, and PowerShell. Experience with GitHub and version control best practices. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Experience using Jira in an Agile environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with reporting tools and reporting environments.

  • Experience with higher education applications and/or supporting multi-cultural students and staff
  • Java server-side experience: Servlets, JSP, or Grails
  • React and GraphQL proficiency
  • Familiarity with Node.js, TaskRunner tools, Knockout, JSON, NuGet
  • API testing/debugging tools: Postman, Insomnia, Fiddler (or similar)
  • Azure ecosystem: Azure, Azure SQL, Azure AD, and MOSS
  • Ellucian stack: Colleague Self-Service, Colleague Web API, Ellucian Experience
  • SharePoint development: workflows, object model, web parts; SharePoint Designer, Office 365, Power Automate
  • Exposure to Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban/XP/Lean) and mobile apps development
