Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager will support Grid Technology Solutions EPC/Turnkey projects as part of the project execution team. This individual will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Construction teams to ensure projects are delivered in alignment with business objectives while meeting schedule, budget, and quality requirements. The successful candidate will assist Project Managers and Project Management Leads with day-to-day project execution activities, project controls, stakeholder coordination, and reporting requirements. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multiple functions in a fast-paced project environment. Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite) Travel: Up to 30% How You'll Make an Impact Work directly with Sales teams and customers to understand project requirements, expectations, contract terms, and project deliverables. Assist Project Managers and Project Management Leads in executing Grid Technology Solutions EPC/Turnkey projects from initiation through completion. Support project execution activities including: Scheduling and planning Budget tracking and forecasting Risk and opportunity management Change management Non-conformance coordination (NCCs) Project documentation and reporting Monitor project performance and collect project execution data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in customer, supplier, and internal project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action item tracking. Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure contractual deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Support day-to-day project operations and assist in maintaining project controls related to cost, schedule, and quality. Generate and maintain project reports, dashboards, and other project management tools required by leadership and customers. Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance project execution efficiency and overall project performance. Support a culture focused on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering strongly preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required; candidates with Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering degrees will be given strong preference. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the energy industry, preferably supporting: Substations Transmission & Distribution Grid Technology Solutions Utility Infrastructure EPC/Turnkey Projects Strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and customer-facing skills. Experience supporting project execution activities including scheduling, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and project coordination. Experience with process improvement, contract management, document control, and quality management systems. Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Proven ability to generate and deliver meaningful project reports and insights. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Construction teams. Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%. Master's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management, or related field. Experience managing or supporting utility, substation, switchgear, transmission, or grid modernization projects. Experience working within Siemens Energy, utility, EPC, or power delivery environments. Knowledge of project management methodologies and project controls best practices. PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred. Candidates who do not currently hold a PMP certification must be willing to obtain IPMA (International Project Management Association) certification within two years of joining the organization.
