Description

✨Rite of Passage Team is Hiring an ORR SENIOR COACH COUNSELOR at Sycamore Canyon Academy in Oracle, Arizona. Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! ✨

What you will do: The primary responsibilities of a Senior Coach Counselor are to provide safety and around-the-clock supervision of at-risk youth. This position provides for the physical, personal and health needs of each student through individual counseling and behavioral/social/physical and educational skill development; provides an atmosphere that is supportive of the needs of the students; monitors and documents student behaviors and activities; participates and assists with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities; works in collaboration with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each student’s treatment plan. The Senior Coach Counselor is distinguished from Coach Counselor / Group Living Counselor, this role will also perform in an operational working supervisor role. Typically reports to a Group Leader but may vary by individual location.

Schedule

  • Night B Shift - Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday.

  • Work schedule is based on program needs.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have:

  • Highschool Diploma or Higher.

  • Internal applicants must be a Coach Counselor with no less than standard performance and at least 90 days of experience at Rite of Passage in a Coach Counselor or higher Direct Care Position.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

  • Successfully pass criminal background clearance checks, drug screening, physical examination, and TB test.

  • Ability to utilize resources available to complete assigned projects.
