Job Duties
Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Histotechnician to join our team!Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
This position receives, accessions, and performs histology laboratory testing in accordance with laboratory protocol.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday
5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Associate degree and graduate of a school of Histotechnology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
American Society of Clinical Pathology or National Certification Agency. Must attain certification within 18 months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Attention to detail.
Ability to perform work requiring manual dexterity.
Good problem-solving skills.
Good customer service skills.
Ability to work independently.
