Job Summary:
General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world’s leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies.
The primary responsibility of the Senior Audio-Visual Support Specialist is to provide direct technical support for executive-level meetings and ensure the readiness, reliability, and upkeep of executive conference rooms and associated equipment.
This position also provides advanced technical support and operational leadership for enterprise AV services, including day-to-day coordination of contracted AV technicians and service providers. The role serves as a senior technical resource and primary escalation point for complex AV issues while coordinating with IT, Facilities, Security, vendors, and business stakeholders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Provide direct technical support for executive-level meetings and maintain executive conference rooms and equipment in a meeting-ready condition.

Serve as the lead AV Analyst, providing work direction, technical guidance, coordination, and quality oversight for managed service providers and contractors.

Support the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of enterprise AV and collaboration systems.

Support technologies including Extron, Biamp, Shure, Microsoft Teams, M365 application support, Poly conference systems, Windows-based room computers, digital signage, displays, cameras, microphones, and related peripherals.

Serve as a senior escalation resource for complex audio, video, control, signal-flow, network, and conference room technology issues.

Troubleshoot basic computer and endpoint issues across macOS and Windows computers, tablets, and mobile devices.

Provide high-touch support for executive and VIP users, including room-readiness checks, meeting support, and high-visibility events.

Perform and oversee AV installations, upgrades, moves, adds, and changes, including low-voltage cabling, equipment mounting, rack work, and system testing.

Complete and document 100% of scheduled VIP conference room preventive-maintenance sweeps.

Meet with internal customers to assess requirements and recommend appropriate AV solutions.

Maintain AV drawings, schematics, equipment inventories, system configurations, and technical documentation.

Obtain and track vendor quotes, equipment, replacement parts, accessories, and consumables.

Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to resolve issues and complete assigned projects.

Track service metrics, recurring issues, and operational risks and provide recommendations to management.

Maintain reliable, punctual attendance and work assigned schedules.

Support contractor onboarding, training, knowledge transfer, and performance guidance.

Ensure work complies with company safety, security, technical, and documentation standards.

Job Qualifications:

Typically requires an associate's degree and three or more years of telecommunication technician experience in a corporate or military environment. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on enterprise or commercial AV experience.

Demonstrated experience with Extron, Biamp, and Shure technologies.
-
Experience supporting executive, VIP, or high-visibility Sr Executive conference rooms.
-
Demonstrated experience providing direct technical support for executive-level meetings and maintaining executive conference rooms and equipment.
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Poly conference technologies, and Windows 11 or newer.
-
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to troubleshoot basic computer issues involving macOS and Windows computers, tablets, and mobile devices.

Ability to serve as the lead AV Analyst and provide technical leadership to managed service providers, AV technicians, and contractors.

Strong knowledge of AV installation, integration, signal flow, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Strong customer service, communication, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work evenings or weekends when required.

U.S. citizenship required.

A valid California driver's license is required, along with the ability to meet company driving requirements.
