Your opportunity
At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together.
We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).
Schwab Technology Services enables the future of how clients manage their money by delivering innovative and reliable technology products and services.
As the BI Tools Product Manager on our Enterprise Analytics team, you will help maximize the value, adoption, and user experience of enterprise business intelligence platforms, including Tableau and Power BI, by leading license and access management, strengthening governance, and using data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
You will collaborate across business, product, platform, Data Education, and technology teams to solve user needs, translate feedback into platform priorities, and build an engaged BI community through support, learning, and knowledge sharing.
This position focuses on BI platform support, access management, process improvement, user enablement, and stakeholder partnership, rather than directly developing dashboards or reports. Success requires analytical thinking, problem solving, strong communication, and adaptability to balance priorities while helping users make more effective use of Schwab’s BI capabilities.
What you’ll be responsible for:
-
Manage and triage high-volume BI licensing, system access, and data access requests.
-
Evaluate existing access and licensing processes to identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, simplify approvals, and improve overall efficiency.
-
Identify and implement opportunities for automation, including exploring how tools such as Copilot and other AI capabilities could support process improvements.
-
Coordinate BI office hours, demonstrations, and user forums that provide users with opportunities to ask questions, share best practices, and receive support.
-
Build engagement across the BI user community by connecting users with the appropriate resources, education, and support.
-
Partner with BI product owners and other Schwab Data teams to capture user feedback and communicate needs, challenges, and enhancement opportunities to inform future platform roadmaps and enhance scalable user support.
-
Collaborate with Data University and our Data Help Desk to ensure users have access to relevant education and learning resources.
-
Help organize and maintain a centralized SharePoint resource hub that makes it easy for users to find BI access information, development resources, training, and support.
-
Serve as a connector between BI users, product owners, training resources, and support teams to help create a more seamless and consistent BI experience.
What you have
Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, data platforms, or analytics operations.
-
Familiarity with Tableau and Power BI, with the technical knowledge to engage with users regarding needs.
-
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use platform and usage data to identify trends, evaluate issues, and recommend actionable improvements.
-
Demonstrated communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and work effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
-
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate across business and technology teams, including interaction with business partners through the Managing Director level.
-
Experience working with data & analytics developers to move beyond an initial request, identify underlying business needs, and establish critical requirements, priorities, and timelines for reporting tools.
-
Demonstrated ability to lead user communities, support initiatives, and connect feedback to improvements in tools, services, or the user experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience managing user access, licenses, or tool administration, applying disciplined access management and governance practices.
-
Familiarity with AI tools, such as Copilot, to help bring more efficiency to the process.
-
Demonstrated priority management and adaptability, with the ability to focus on high-impact work and pivot effectively as business needs change.
-
Knowledge of brokerage, financial services, banking, and/or Schwab’s business environment.
In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
