Power BI Developer

Job Description

This Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise reporting solutions that transform complex operational data into actionable business insights. The individual will analyze existing reporting functionality, identify and map data sources, tables, relationships, and business logic, and build scalable Power BI dashboards and data models that support operational reporting and analytics. Day-to-day responsibilities include extracting, transforming, and validating data, developing interactive reports and visualizations, troubleshooting data quality and performance issues, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and ensuring reporting accuracy across large datasets. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Power BI, data modeling, and reporting architecture, along with the ability to independently investigate data structures, interpret complex business rules, optimize report performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality reporting solutions.

Skills and Requirements

-3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience. -Experience building Power BI reports and dashboards using ServiceNow as a data source. -Strong understanding of ServiceNow tables, fields, relationships, and data architecture. -Experience with data extraction, transformation, modeling, and relationship mapping. -Ability to troubleshoot complex reporting issues and independently translate business requirements into reporting solutions. -Experience working with ServiceNow APIs and data extraction methods. -Experience migrating or recreating reporting functionality from Salesforce or another enterprise platform. -Experience with IAM, access management, ticketing, request management, or workflow datasets. -Experience supporting reporting solutions for users who do not have direct access to the source system. -Experience working with large historical datasets and optimizing complex Power BI data models.
