Description

Robert Half is working with clients in the semiconductor industry who are looking to hire CMP Process Engineers to support semiconductor process development, manufacturing, and advanced wafer-processing initiatives in the Phoenix area.

These opportunities are ideal for engineers with hands-on semiconductor fabrication experience who have worked with Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) processes, wafer polishing equipment, process optimization, or related semiconductor manufacturing technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CMP processes used in semiconductor wafer fabrication.

  • Support process development, qualification, and continuous improvement activities.

  • Analyze process data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to yield, quality, and performance.

  • Work hands-on with semiconductor processing equipment within cleanroom environments.

  • Support wafer processing, consumables, slurry, polishing, cleaning, and metrology activities.

  • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve process-related manufacturing issues.

  • Develop and execute DOE, SPC, and other statistical process-control methodologies.

  • Partner with equipment, manufacturing, quality, and process integration teams.

  • Document technical findings, process changes, and engineering recommendations.

  • Support customer or internal engineering teams with process demonstrations and technical troubleshooting as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical discipline preferred.

  • 2+ years of semiconductor process engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or related experience.

  • Experience with Chemical Mechanical Planarization/Polishing (CMP) strongly preferred.

  • Experience working with semiconductor fabrication equipment and cleanroom processes.

  • Knowledge of wafer processing, process optimization, SPC, DOE, and statistical analysis.

  • Ability to analyze manufacturing and process data and troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
