Job Summary

Hourly Pay Rate: $19.00

Schedule: M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm

This entry-level position is responsible for performing railcar inspections, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with FRA and AAR regulations. Candidates should be comfortable performing hands-on labor and able to identify basic hand tools and parts. Responsibilities may include using railroad jacks to lift railcars for maintenance and repair work. No prior railcar repair experience is required; training will be provided on the job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to identify basic hand tools and parts

  • Ensure compliance with all federal requirements, company guidelines, and safety regulations • Reads and interprets blueprints accurately • Performs repairs on both foreign and fleet vehicles • Adheres to FRA and AAR regulations when conducting car repairs • Maintains accurate records of all repairs performed • Perform additional duties as assigned
