Full job description

Description

Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator with experience in purchasing, materials planning, inventory, or a related supply chain function. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience coordinating materials, purchase orders, suppliers, and inventory requirements in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with related supply chain, purchasing, materials, or light industrial experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage purchase orders based on material requirements and inventory needs.

  • Coordinate the timely availability of materials, components, and supplies.

  • Assist with materials planning and MRP activities.

  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excess inventory.

  • Track purchase orders and communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries, lead times, and backorders.

  • Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory information in the ERP/MRP system.

  • Work closely with production, operations, warehouse, and planning teams to ensure materials are available when needed.

  • Assist with obtaining quotes, comparing pricing, and coordinating with suppliers.

  • Help resolve supplier delivery, quantity, and quality issues.

  • Analyze inventory and purchasing data to support supply chain decisions.

  • Perform other purchasing and supply chain duties as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, materials planning, inventory, procurement, or a related field.

  • Experience with purchase orders and supplier coordination preferred.

  • Exposure to MRP/ERP systems and materials planning.

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

  • Good Excel and data-entry skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Light industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or other related experience is a plus.

  • Willingness to learn and take on additional purchasing and materials-planning responsibilities.
