The Industrial Engineer will support the development and maturation of a new manufacturing environment, applying Industrial Engineering principles to help establish efficient, scalable, and sustainable production operations. This role will work directly with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to support shop floor layouts, production flow, capacity, labor planning, standard work, and continuous improvement as the factory transitions from development into execution.

This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment, is comfortable solving problems where the answer is not yet defined, and is motivated by the opportunity to help build new production systems from the ground up.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related degree/ related experience

  • Experience through internships or professional assignments applying Industrial Engineering, manufacturing, or process-improvement principles

  • Experience collecting and analyzing data to support technical problem solving and decision-making

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing, and/or operations teams

  • US Citizenship, Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret security clearance

Desired Skills

  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations, production environments, or factory/shop floor activities

  • Familiarity with facility and shop floor layout, process flow, capacity analysis, labor planning, standard work, or time studies

  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma tools including Value Stream Mapping, process mapping, 5S, DMAIC, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement

  • Experience translating observations and production data into actionable recommendations

  • Ability to work through ambiguity, take initiative, and progress assignments with limited day-to-day direction

  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to build relationships directly with operators, technicians, engineers, and manufacturing leadership

  • Experience with data analysis or visualization tools

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP or manufacturing execution systems

  • Interest in developing expertise in factory design, production-system optimization, capacity planning, and ramp-to-rate execution

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
