Overview & Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Retail Development, Products & Experiences is responsible for executing retail strategies that drive sell-in and sell through of licensed merchandise across key retail partners. This role manages day-to-day relationships with retailers such as Target and Kohls and licensees, ensures strong in-store execution, and supports the growth of the brands through compelling consumer product offerings.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Manage relationships with retail partners and licensees to drive sell-in and sell-through of licensed products across key categories including Toys, Sporting Goods, Home, Accessories, Food & Beverage and Essentials & Beauty

Be the account and retail expert across categories
-
Contribute to overall account long term planning and strategy

Execute retail strategies across category responsibilities

Monitor retail performance and identify opportunities to increase sales and distribution

Partner with licensing category teams to support product launches and retail activations in partnership with licensees

Ensure brand consistency and compliance across all licensed products and retail placements

Conduct store visits and retail audits to ensure merchandising standards are met and identify new opportunities
-
Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity
-
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, category, franchise) to support campaigns
Basic Qualifications
-
8+ years of experience in retail, licensing, consumer products, or business development
-
Bachelor's degree
-
Working knowledge of entertainment or categories or retail industry ideally with in-depth knowledge of Target or other major consumer products retailer
-
Deep understanding of retail environments and merchandising strategies
-
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office including Excel (data analysis, basic formulas) and PowerPoint (design and create professional, client ready decks)
Additional Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work autonomously with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-up
-
Experience working with licensed brands or retail partnerships preferred

Top-notch relationship management and communication skills
-
Analytical mindset with experience using sales data to drive decisions

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $110,400.00 - 130,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.This position is bonus eligible.
