Description:

Position Purpose:

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Student Placement Coordinator is responsible for the placement of students in health-related fields within MCHS. Responsibilities include initiating and maintaining contracts and providing direction and support to students throughout their clinical experience. Provides follow-up after completion of clinical assignments to identify opportunities for process improvements. Ensures an efficient flow of information between all involved to ensure that learning and development has a positive impact on business results and relationships. Performs administrative functions to support the program and works with multiple disciplines and levels within the organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Establishes processes to facilitate efficiency and effectiveness of programs; develops consistent, dependable and user friendly work procedures; coordinates process beginning with initial contact and extending throughout learning experience and follow-up.

  • Sets measurable goals and tracks progress making adjustments as needed.

  • Keeps information organized and accessible, works systematically/efficiently.

  • Communicates with customers, handles service problems politely and efficiently; understands and promotes department programs, services and objectives.

  • Builds, maintains, and cultivates relationships between MCHS and local/regional Colleges and Universities.

  • Makes good use of technology resources to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of process, researches and adapts technologies to improve processes.

  • Identifies opportunities, generates new ideas, and solves problems as issues arise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree with 6 years of experience working in health related field or Bachelor's Degree in business or health related field.

  • Licensure / Certification: None required

  • Experience: Experience in healthcare preferred.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Effective interpersonal communication skills to include: being an active listener, ability to build strong relationships, flexible/open minded, negotiates effectively, solicits feedback.

  • Effective written communication skills.

  • Reliable, accountable, and takes initiative. Can work independently, prioritize, and think strategically while managing multiple initiatives.

  • Advanced computerskills with experience, office automation, and Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel; project software.
