Veterinary Assistant - Bonus

VCA Miller-Robertson Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to support and assist veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other hospital staff through the care of patients, cleaning of the facilities, client communication, and education. Under established guidelines, complete more complex patient treatments, laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other animal care functions and tasks involved in the patient care operations of a veterinary hospital.

Bonus: $1,500 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates

Location: 8807 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90069

Salary: $28-$35/hour, depending on experience level

Schedule: Full-time

Hospital Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM

In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

• Physical examinations and patient assessment

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Surgical preparation and assisting

• Dentistry

• Radiology

• Laboratory work

• Venipuncture

• Catheter placement

• Pharmacy

• Patient recovery

• Client Communication

• Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals
