Overview

Turner Staffing Group is hiring a Plant Mechanic to support a mining operation in Hinkley, California. This is a key maintenance role responsible for keeping processing plant equipment running safely and efficiently to support continuous production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on processing plant equipment (crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, and related machinery)

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime

  • Perform welding, fabrication, and component replacement as needed

  • Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, damage, or unsafe conditions

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report on equipment condition and repairs completed

  • Follow all site safety policies and MSHA regulations

  • Communicate effectively with the maintenance team, operators, and supervisors

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a mechanic in a mining, quarry, or industrial plant environment

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

  • Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools

  • Valid driver's license required

  • MSHA certification (preferred; may be required prior to start)

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment

  • Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety

  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
