We are looking for an experienced In House Counsel to support a food and food processing organization in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for an experienced legal specialist who can provide practical guidance on commercial matters, protect business interests, and partner closely with internal stakeholders. Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation, review, and revision of a broad range of commercial agreements to align legal terms with business objectives.

• Manage contract negotiations with customers, vendors, and strategic partners to secure balanced and commercially sound outcomes.

• Provide day-to-day legal counsel on corporate law matters, helping business teams address risk, compliance, and operational considerations.

• Translate complex legal concepts into clear recommendations that support informed decision-making across the organization.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify contractual exposures and recommend practical solutions before issues escalate.

• Maintain consistency in contract language, legal standards, and documentation practices across various business arrangements.

• Support licensing-related legal matters and ensure agreements reflect applicable regulatory and corporate requirements.

Requirements • Licensed attorney with the authorization to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• 10+ years of legal experience, including substantial in-house or commercial contracting responsibility.

• Demonstrated success drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.

• Strong working knowledge of corporate law and its application within a business setting.

• Ability to assess legal risk quickly and provide practical, business-focused advice.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Background supporting contract-heavy environments, ideally within food, manufacturing, or related industries.
