Position Summary
As a Senior IAM Engineer, you will support and enhance enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms, including Ping Identity, LDAP directory services, and authentication solutions. This role is responsible for the administration, troubleshooting, automation, and operational support of SSO, MFA, directory services, and related infrastructure in a 24x7 enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Administer and support Ping Identity platforms including PingFederate, PingAccess, Ping Directory, PingOne MFA, Ping DaVinci, and Risk-Based Authentication.

Configure, troubleshoot, and support Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Passwordless Authentication, and Passkey solutions.

Troubleshoot authentication and authorization issues involving SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), LDAP, and related technologies.

Install, administer, and maintain LDAP directory services including RadiantOne FID/VDS, Ping Directory, ODSEE, and IBM Tivoli Directory Server.

Support LDAP application integrations, migrations, service account configuration, ACIs, and directory consolidation initiatives.

Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation for IAM, SSO, MFA, and LDAP services.

Perform proactive monitoring, log analysis, incident resolution, root cause analysis, vulnerability remediation, and platform performance tuning.

Support disaster recovery exercises, platform upgrades, patching activities, and operational readiness testing.

Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to troubleshoot load balancers, DNS, SSL/TLS, proxy, and connectivity issues.

Utilize scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Shell, APIs) to streamline operational processes and reduce manual effort.

Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve automation, self-service capabilities, operational efficiency, and user experience.

Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles while continuously improving operational processes.

Demonstrate a strong learning mindset, stay current with IAM technologies, and proactively expand expertise across authentication, directory, cloud, and security domains.
Required Qualifications
-
7+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
-
5+ years of experience with Ping Identity products, LDAP technologies, and authentication platforms.
-
3+ years of experience with Radiant Logic (VDS/ICS), Ping Directory, or other enterprise LDAP solutions.
-
3+ years of experience with both Linux and Windows platforms.
-
3+ years of experience with PowerShell, Python, Shell, or API-based automation.
-
Strong troubleshooting skills across authentication, federation, networking, and directory services.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Strong knowledge of SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), LDAP, MFA, Passkeys, and FIDO2/WebAuthn.

Experience with Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, or other IAM platforms.
-
Experience with Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring tools.
-
Experience with AI-assisted automation, self-service platforms, and workflow orchestration.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience (High School Diploma/GED plus 4 years of related experience)
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$106,605.00 - $284,280.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
