Kitchen Helper / Cafeteria Assistant

Ukrainian Academy Inc. is seeking a full-time Kitchen Helper / Cafeteria Assistant at our Parma Heights, OH location. The Kitchen Helper / Cafeteria Assistant supports daily kitchen operations in a childcare cafeteria environment. Duties include, but are not limited to: - Assisting in the preparation of simple cooked meals and snacks for children and staff - Measuring, washing, cutting, and assembling ingredients under established recipes and menus - Helping with preparation of culturally appropriate meals, including Ukrainian-style dishes, as part of the regular meal program - Monitoring food temperatures and following basic food safety procedures - Serving prepared meals and snacks in accordance with scheduled meal times - Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and food preparation areas - Washing dishes, utensils, and cookware - Assisting with stocking, labeling, and storing food supplies - Disposing of waste according to health and sanitation guidelines - Working cooperatively with cafeteria and childcare staff to ensure timely meal service Requirements: High school diploma or GED. 12 months of experience as a Cafeteria Worker.
