OhioMeansJobs | Lake County is accepting resumes for the following position: Position: Electric Distribution Supervisor Location: Painesville, OH Hours: Full Time Pay: $2,994.40-$3,936.80/ Bi-Weekly Position ID: 3307 POSITION SUMMARY This is technical and supervisory work in directing the operation, maintenance, and construction activities of the municipal electrical distribution system. Work involves planning, directing, and supervising electrical distribution operations and establishing appropriate procedures and methods conducive to efficient and effective administration. Duties include inspecting completed contractual work prior to recommending final acceptance. Work requires the exercise of considerable independence of judgment and initiative within established policies subject to review by the electric superintendent. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Organizes, schedules, assigns, and reviews maintenance and construction activities and establishes and implements work methods and practices; confers with other municipal utility personnel concerning mutual problems and technical changes. - Recommends alterations and modifications to the system; prepares drawings, plans, and specifications related to additions or system expansion. - Prepares technical reports and specifications; prepares purchase order requests; recommends both an operating and capital improvement budget; evaluates employee performance. - Answers customer complaint calls and directs the implementation of appropriate corrective measures. - Collaborate to develop and edit Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. - Performs related work as required. Plan, organize, and schedule administrative and technical work. - Supervise subordinate personnel. - Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction plans. - Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. - Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, city officials, and the general public.
