Full job description
Senior Construction Estimator
Join a growing, industry-leading general contractor specializing in complex healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory, cleanroom, manufacturing, and commercial construction projects throughout Connecticut and the Northeast.
What You'll Do
-
Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
-
Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for all CSI divisions
-
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
-
Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
-
Identify project risks, opportunities, logistics, and constructability considerations
-
Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and scope reviews
-
Develop conceptual, budgetary, and hard bid estimates
-
Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during project turnover
-
Maintain historical cost databases and market pricing information
-
Assist in value engineering and alternate pricing strategies
Qualifications
-
7+ years of construction estimating experience (5+ years preferred)
-
Experience estimating commercial, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, laboratory, pharmaceutical, or cleanroom projects
-
Strong understanding of construction means and methods
-
Proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating, ProEst, or similar estimating software
-
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
-
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with healthcare renovations, biotech facilities, laboratories, or GMP-regulated environments
-
Knowledge of MEP systems and their impact on construction costs
-
Familiarity with design-build and CMAR project delivery methods
-
Experience with Procore, Sage, and Microsoft Project
-
LEED, PMP, or additional construction-related certifications are a plus

This is a Permanent position based out of Brookfield, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $200000.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
