Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records for the organization. This role is well suited for someone who can manage close activities, prepare financial entries, and ensure balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise and a consistent approach to accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Responsibilities:

Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.

Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and management reports to support business planning.

Analyze financial results, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate accounting records in compliance with GAAP.

Manage fixed assets, capital projects, and related accounting schedules.

Support financial systems, reporting enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvements.

Partner with department leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Assist with accounts payable, vendor inquiries, audits, compliance requirements, and operational reporting.

Develop accounting policies, procedures, and documentation to strengthen internal controls.

Provide guidance and training to finance staff and support cross-functional projects and special initiatives.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-
5+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
-
Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and financial statements.

Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, audits, and tax reporting activities.
-
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with ERP systems; Sage Intacct experience preferred.

Strong understanding of financial systems, reporting tools, data integrations, and process automation.

Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, take ownership, and deliver high-quality results.
