Software Engineer (Java) (SAB-2609-06)

Work with a development team adding new capabilities to a Java-based data services product. Strong Java skills are essential. You will contribute to development and testing across the lifecycle and help make the team's services easy to integrate into user environments. What you will do: - Develop and test Java services and containerize existing capabilities with Docker - Reproduce and document user issues in development environments - Review and test software against design requirements - Support security and integrity policies for the application - Write technical documentation, including wiki content Required qualifications: - Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (U.S. citizenship required). - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of software engineering experience. Without a degree, 9 years of software engineering experience. - At least 2 years of that experience in the SIGINT, information assurance, or IT domains. - Java development experience Preferred qualifications: - Understanding of unit and integration testing - Linux, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines - PKI and REST services - Familiarity with government information-handling standards - Debugging in a containerized IDE Location: On-site at a government or contractor facility in the Fort Meade, MD area. Limited telework may be available. Schedule: Full-time, W-2 Sabre Engineering employee. 40 hours a week, normal day shift. Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
