Description Job Summary The Producer, Content Transformation & Immersive Experiences is a hands-on producer responsible for bringing IEEE programs, events, and storytelling initiatives to life across live, digital, multimedia, and experiential formats.
Working closely with the Executive Producer and the CEE Content Transformation team, this role will own production of core events and initiatives while supporting larger flagship opportunities. The Producer will help translate ideas into thoughtful, well-executed experiences—managing timelines, budgets, vendors, programming logistics, creative assets, and onsite delivery.
The portfolio will span a diverse range of IEEE initiatives, including core events and programs, IEEE Milestones, Section and Society Anniversaries, IEEE Awards and recognition programs, exhibits, panels, digital storytelling, and special projects. This is an ideal role for a highly organized, curious producer who enjoys moving between creative development and detailed execution, is comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, and can turn a good idea into a well-produced experience.
Key Responsibilities Core Event & Program Production
- Own the production of assigned CEE events and programs from initial concept through delivery, ensuring projects are on time, on budget, and executed to a high creative and operational standard.
- Develop and manage production plans, schedules, budgets, run-of-show documents, vendor scopes, and other project documentation.
- Support programming development, including session formats, speaker coordination, content development, rehearsals, and show flow.
- Coordinate with internal teams, IEEE volunteers, venues, speakers, agencies, and production partners to move projects forward.
- Manage onsite production and execution for assigned events, activations, panels, and programs.
- Identify production needs and potential issues early and develop practical solutions.
- Support post-event wrap-up, including vendor reconciliation, asset collection, documentation, and lessons learned.
Flagship Initiative Support
- Serve as a key production partner on high-visibility IEEE flagship initiatives, supporting the Executive Producer and senior project leads across programming, creative, production, and onsite execution.
- Translate creative concepts and production briefs into actionable plans and deliverables.
- Support the development and execution of elevated experiences across live events, multimedia, exhibits, and digital platforms.
- Work alongside specialized agencies and production partners to ensure IEEE's creative and experiential vision is translated effectively.
- Support production of keynote moments, special announcements, executive programs, exhibitions, and other high-profile activations.
Milestones & Anniversary Programs
- Support Associate Director with the production and implementation of the IEEE Milestones Program, including dedication events, anniversaries, program communications, and related experiential opportunities.
- Support Senior Producer and Event Designer with Section and Society Anniversary programs, from initial planning through event execution and post-event follow-up.
- Help develop scalable approaches, templates, and production resources that can be adapted across geographically distributed IEEE programs.
- Identify opportunities to elevate these programs through multimedia, programming, historical storytelling, exhibits, and other experiential elements.
Content, Storytelling & Creative Development
- Partner with the Executive Producer, Director of Event Programming, and internal subject matter experts to translate programming strategies into compelling event content and experiences.
- Support the development of presentations, scripts, videos, graphics, signage, digital experiences, and other creative assets.
- Coordinate production of short-form video and multimedia content, working with internal teams and external production partners.
- Research and source compelling stories, speakers, experts, artifacts, and other content that can bring IEEE's history, technology, and impact to life.
- Ensure content and experiences are audience-focused, accessible, and aligned with IEEE's brand and mission.
- Guide the team's weekly editorial calendar, facilitate discussion of upcoming programs, stories, speakers, creative opportunities, and drive decisions into next steps and production planning.
Vendor, Budget & Partner Management
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned agencies, production companies, designers, AV partners, venues, and other vendors.
- Develop scopes of work, production briefs, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project leads.
- Manage and track production schedules, deliverables, budgets, and approvals.
- Review creative and production deliverables for quality, accuracy, and alignment with the brief.
- Coordinate contracts, invoices, payments, and other administrative requirements with appropriate IEEE teams.
- Build productive relationships with external partners and identify opportunities to bring specialized expertise into IEEE projects.
Special Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support special projects that extend IEEE's reach through new forms of storytelling, multimedia, exhibits, and experiences.
- Bring a practical, solutions-oriented approach to projects with evolving requirements and multiple stakeholders.
- Help document successful approaches and develop reusable production tools and resources.
- Stay informed about emerging approaches to live events, digital experiences, multimedia storytelling, and audience engagement.
- Bring curiosity and experimentation to the development of new ways to tell IEEE's stories while maintaining authenticity and production quality.
- Identify partners, technologies, formats, and creative approaches that strengthen IEEE storytelling more broadly.
