Ramp 6S Technician

Job Description

• Complete required safety, 6S and protocol training & follow procedures
• Wipe down new equipment within a cleanroom environment, often working from a step ladder
• Clean debris as required under raised metal floor to prepare site for new equipment
• Complete training required to complete small decon projects using acid neutralizer etc
• Complete 6S audits to ensure compliance with all 6S Policies. Audits will cover all production, support and lab areas at Fab 8 and include GF Employees, Vendors and Trade Workers
• Utilize iPAD to document, record and submit findings providing enough detail to direct actions
• Work independently and collaboratively with teams in a fast-paced environment with > 75% of the time inside the cleanroom
• Perform all activities in a safe responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Skills and Requirements

• Education: High School Degree required
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills including Excel and Outlook
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment wearing required clean room clothing per semiconductor protocol/requirements.
• Able to work in a standing position for an extended period of time (during a 12-hour shift)
• Able to lift equipment and tools when performing maintenance activities (above 50lbs requires a two-person lift)
• Experience working in a cleanroom or industrial environment
• Experience wearing PPE required to protect against chemical exposures
• RCRA experience a plus
