Full job description
The Student Support Systems Consultant works with educators, families, LISD staff, and community partners to strengthen educational supports for students with diverse and complex needs. The role focuses on improving academic learning, communication, socialization, independence, and overall student outcomes through collaboration, consultation, and datainformed problem-solving. The Consultant supports school teams by providing coaching, training, and guidance in areas such as academic accommodations, curriculum modifications, communication, sensory needs, social skills, and positive behavioral supports. The position also assists with evaluations, intervention planning, MTSS practices, documentation, and special education requirements while helping teams build their capacity to effectively support students
