Full job description
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Supply Department (XN4), Expeditionary Exploitation Unit One (EXU-1) of EXU-1 CIVILIAN PERSONNEL. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $158,322). Responsibilities You will provide leadership, guidance, and tasking for personnel in the EXU-1 Supply department; developing competencies in personnel through coaching or mentoring. You will utilize metrics towards evaluation against established performance expectations and standards; provide situational awareness and new insights, questions conventional approaches, and encourages new processes or improvements. You will assist the department head with providing and disseminating guidance, direction, policies and procedures throughout the activity on all aspects of Procurement Request (PR) creation. You will utilize data to ensure staff receives the proper feedback and training to facilitate proper PR procedures. You will ensure proper warehouse and inventory management practices; analyze the effectiveness of supply programs to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and procedures. You will interpret supply management regulations to determine impact on supply operations, and review and audit Supply program on a regular basis. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing, evaluating, or leading procurement efforts to identify needs for improvements in material, supply policies, procedures, or regulations to ensure development of the workforce, effective execution of workload, and quality of support and services. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
