The Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector's (ATC) office is recruiting for SAP Functional Analysts Trainees who work in a training capacity while learning to analyze and configure complex departmental business processes and SAP system modules in areas such as finance, logistics, procurement, and/or human resources. SAP Functional Analysts Trainees act as a liaison with County departments and assist in identifying and analyzing accounting and financial concerns; answering questions regarding accounting concepts, systems, cost accounting, and legal interpretations relating to fiscal matters.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Promotion: SAP Functional Analyst Trainees are eligible for promotion to SAP Functional Analyst I (up to $123,240 annually) - depending on selected benefit option) upon successful completion of a training program and receipt of a satisfactory work performance evaluation. Incumbents must promote within twelve (12) months or be terminated. Background: Applicant must successfully pass a background check prior to appointment. Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License may be required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.CANDIDATES MUST MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTION REQUIREMENTS: OPTION 1Must possess a completed Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration or closely related field.

OPTION 2Education: Must possess thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) college units in information technology, business administration, or closely related field. (Transcripts MUST be attached if you do not possess a completed/awarded Associate degree (or higher) in related field.)

-AND-

Experience: Must possess one (1) year of full-time experience performing IT business systems analysis OR information systems analysis, including the design, configuration, and/or implementation of systems. Experience must include a combination of the following: analyzing business needs, documenting business process requirements, troubleshooting, defining solutions, and/or providing end-user support.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

EDUCATIONQualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience and/or training in ERP systems, especially SAP.

  • Supporting ERP financial systems; preferably in SAP with some fund accounting.

  • Participation in a complex financial software project, supporting major financial functions, analyzing and documenting financial business processes with Visio or flowchart software, supporting users, training, conducting testing, preferably in SAP and in a Public Sector environment.
