Full job description
The Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector's (ATC) office is recruiting for SAP Functional Analysts I who analyze and configure complex departmental business processes and SAP system modules in areas such as finance, logistics, procurement, and/or human resources. SAP Functional Analysts act as a liaison with County departments and assist in identifying and analyzing accounting and financial concerns; answering questions regarding accounting concepts, systems, cost accounting, and legal interpretations relating to fiscal matters.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Background: Candidates selected for this position must pass a background investigation and medical examination including drug screening.
Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License may be required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future. CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATIONMust possess thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) college units in information technology, business administration, or closely related field. (Transcripts MUST be attached if you do not possess a completed/awarded Associate degree (or higher) in related field.)
EXPERIENCEMust possess one (1) year of full-time experience working on the design, configuration, and/or implementation of any of the core software applications in SAP Business Suite (i.e., ERP, CRM, SRM, PLM) at the enterprise level. Experience must include analyzing business needs, documenting business process requirements, troubleshooting, defining solutions, and providing end-user support.

EDUCATIONQualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. The ideal candidate will have:• A Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or closely related field.
- Business or functional analysis experience in the public sector.
- A thorough understanding of SAP application configuration, report development, and analytics.
- The ability to document business process requirements and serve as a liaison between departments and a technical team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in teaching technical topics to non-technical staff and training end-users.
- Proven ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
